Drive-Thru Testing Site for Virus Opens, El Paso Times

"The site is open to health care workers, first responders and patients with a doctor’s order who meet testing criteria, according to city officials. It is for people who do not require emergency medical care.

Officials said the address is being given to those with doctor referrals."

There is no date established regarding drive by testing for Covid-19 in El Paso county.  They are working with the state to make it happen here but depends on the availability of test kits.
A person may dial 211 to get information on various programs available in this area.  This is a Texas state-supported effort to link people who need assistance to agencies and services. Available in English or Spanish and a real person will answer.  Available 24,7. Options are as follows:
Option 1: Food pantry locations. Child care, senior services, utility payments.
Option 2: Medicaid, SNAP food benefits
Option 3: Report Fraud
Option 4: Need assistance for emergency evacuation due to natural disaster.
Option 6: Who to contact and where to go to get tested for Coronavirus.
Option 8: Mental health issues

 

EMERGENCY FOOD IS AVAILABLE NOW:

El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank will distribute emergency food boxes starting March 23rd:

 

Meals for children will be served at schools March 23-27 & March 30-April 3.
